Venerable Hui-Li Memorial Hall (2F)

Venerable Hui-Li, the second abbess of Miaoyun Temple, was one of the key disciples who cared for and supported Master Yin Shun during his years of retreat and played an important role in carrying forward and putting his teachings into practice in Taiwan. Throughout her life, she remained dedicated to preserving and embodying the Buddhist teachings she had received from him. Together with Venerable Chang-Guang, she worked tirelessly to build the new main hall, leaving future generations a serene and dignified place for Buddhist practice. Venerable Hui-Li passed away peacefully in 2024.

The exhibition features precious historical photographs, handwritten notes, Dharma implements, and personal belongings that trace the course of Venerable Hui-Li’s life—from her studies and spiritual practice to her teaching, propagation of the Dharma, and lifelong service. Together, these artifacts offer a vivid portrait of her dedication and commitment, while reflecting the spirit of the Bodhisattva path: passing the torch of the Dharma from one generation to the next and keeping the lamp of wisdom shining.
